Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced on Wednesday (9) the first list of called-up players for the friendly matches against Australia and India, marking the first commitments of the Brazilian National Team after participating in the 2026 World Cup. This call-up is considered the first step of the cycle leading up to the 2030 World Cup.

The called-up players will represent Brazil in three international friendlies. The National Team faces Australia on September 25, at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium, in Townsville, and again on the 29th, at the Suncorp Stadium, in Brisbane. Then, it takes on India on October 3, at Salt Lake Stadium, in Kolkata, in a historic milestone, as it will be the first confrontation between the senior National Teams of both countries.

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti will continue leading the Brazilian team during this period and indicated that he intends to renew the Brazilian National Team. In an interview with Real Madrid TV, earlier in September, Ancelotti defended the team's renewal after the elimination in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.

Raphinha, outside the finalists, shows discomfort with question about Ballon d'Or: 'I won't talk about it'

Raphinha, Barcelona forward, showed discomfort when asked about the Ballon d'Or after Barcelona's 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League. The Brazilian, who scored a goal in the match, refused to comment on the subject, stating that he only talks about Barcelona. His absence from the list of 30 finalists was considered one of the biggest surprises of the award. Raphinha had excellent performance in the 2025/26 season, with 21 goals and seven assists in 33 games, being one of the main reasons for the La Liga title. Only three Brazilians appeared among the finalists: Gabriel Magalhães, Marquinhos and Vini Jr.
