The Azores Chamber of Commerce and Industry today defended greater investment in promoting the archipelagic destination. Azorean business leaders consider it essential to strengthen the visibility of the region as a tourist destination for the next year.
Furthermore, representatives of the business sector demanded a change in the strategy for attracting air routes. This change should be integrated into the Regional Plan and Budget for 2027.
The statements came after a meeting with the president of the Regional Government, which is supported by the PSD/CDS-PP/PPM coalition. The meeting served to debate the economic priorities of the region for the next year.
