Road traffic is closed on the Complementary Route (IC) 8 between the Pedrógão Pequeno and Carvalhal junctions, in the municipality of Sertã, district of Castelo Branco. The closure affects both directions of the road.

The accident that prompted the road closure resulted in five injured. Authorities are carrying out rescue operations and managing the scene.

The road remains impassable until the situation is normalized, due to the emergency procedures and cleaning of the road after the incident.
