The National Association of Federal Prosecutors defended that authorities involved in the crisis at the Supreme Federal Court act "with moderation and adherence to legality." The class association, responsible for drafting the shortlist for the attorney general position, classified the tension plaguing the Court as of "rare intensity," noting that it also affects the Federal Police and the Attorney General's Office.
The note was released by the ANPR Board on Wednesday, hours after a new chapter in the STF crisis. That morning, Minister Flávio Dino reversed the removal of the PF director-general, Andrei Passos Rodrigues, which had been ordered by Minister André Mendonça.
The association noted that institutions have "their own mechanisms to overcome crises and disagreements," seeking to balance the criticism of the tension escalation with the defense of institutional functioning.
According to the report, ministers from both sides of the highest Court demanded a position from the president of the STF, Edson Fachin, in light of the escalating tension at the Court.
