The Civil Aviation Pilots Union (SPAC) expressed the intention to be heard by the Government regarding the TAP privatization process. Through a statement, the union considered it "incomprehensible" that the pilots have not yet been included in the consultations on this matter.
SPAC is the union that represents civil aviation pilots in Portugal, being the entity that is requesting this participation in the privatization process of the national airline.
The TAP privatization process has been advancing, which has generated concerns among the airline's professionals, namely regarding the future working conditions of the pilots and the working conditions that may result from this transition.
The SPAC statement comes as an alert for the need to include workers in the dialogue about the future of the company, defending that the pilots' voice should be taken into account before any definitive decision on privatization.
