IAEA refers Tehran to Security Council for first time in 20 years

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported Iran to the United Nations Security Council for the first time in 20 years. This decision comes after Tehran failed to comply with its obligations regarding the nuclear program.

The board of the atomic watchdog took this measure considering that Iran violated the commitments made regarding its nuclear program. The decision represents a significant escalation in the tension between Iran and the international community.
