PP considers declassified documents demonstrate Sánchez's "state lie"

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General9 September 2026 at 18:47

The Popular Party considered that the secret documents about the Ceuta crisis, declassified on Wednesday after authorization by the Council of Ministers, reveal a "state lie" by Pedro Sánchez. The spokesperson for the Popular Group, Ester Muñoz, made these statements to journalists in the office of the Congress of Deputies.

Muñoz accused the President of the Government of having "lied" for a month about the management of the migratory avalanche in Ceuta. According to the PP representative, Sánchez made this statement "without shame, without blushing, with alarming coldness and lack of empathy".

The declassified documents were revealed after the approval of the Council of Ministers, and the Popular Party maintains that these prove that the executive publicly lied about how it handled the migratory crisis in the Spanish city of Ceuta.
