Refood held last Saturday, October 10th, its 10th national meeting at Escola Secundária Alves Martins, in Viseu, bringing together around 300 volunteers from across the country. The event marked a decade of activity of the network that combats food waste through the recovery of surplus food.
The initiative featured the presence of representatives from the various Refood communities spread throughout Portugal, who shared experiences and reflected on the work developed over the past few years. The meeting also served to reinforce the organization's mission and motivate volunteers for future challenges.
Escola Secundária Alves Martins was the chosen venue to host this historic milestone of the organization, which has been growing consistently since its founding. The event celebrated not only the dedication of the volunteers, but also the positive impact that Refood has generated in the fight against food waste across the country.
