The University of Beira Interior (UBI) will promote, between September 23 and 25, the UBI Science & Innovation Festival – Science for the Territory. The festival takes place over three days in Covilhã and aims to bring scientific research closer to the local community.
The event aims to strengthen the connection between the university and the territory, creating a bridge between the work developed in academic institutions and the population of the Beira Interior region.
The initiative has the participation of researchers and students from UBI, who will share their projects and scientific discoveries in an accessible way to the general public.
This type of festival fits into a broader trend of Portuguese universities that seek to open their doors and demonstrate the impact of science on the daily lives of the communities in which they are inserted.
