Manchester City beat FC Porto 2-0 at the Estádio do Dragão, in their debut match in the Champions League league phase. Norwegian striker Erling Haaland was the main protagonist of the game, scoring both goals for the English side.

The first goal came in the 47th minute, already in the second half, and the second was scored in stoppage time, consolidating the victory for Pep Guardiola's side.

With this result, Manchester City collect three points and start their Champions League campaign with an away victory. FC Porto, for their part, begin the league phase with a defeat at home.
