The Government approved this Wednesday in Council of Ministers a resolution that designates Ana Casaca president of the board of AICEP – Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal. Ana Paula Lopes Borges Ferreira Casaca, director of Innovation at Galp Energia, was chosen after receiving a positive opinion from the Commission for Recruitment and Selection for the Public Administration (CReSAP).
At the end of last year, Ana Casaca was appointed to the board of the European Innovation Council (EIC), the main European program for supporting disruptive innovation and deeptech technologies, within the Horizon Europe program, being the only Portuguese in this term.
The innovation specialist has over 20 years of experience in technology transfer, corporate innovation, and ecosystem development. She began her career as a researcher in San Francisco with grants from AICEP and also from Fulbright.
Licensed in Microbiology from the Catholic University of Portugal, Ana Casaca also holds an MBA from Porto Business School and is an invited professor at this school and at ISEG. Abroad, she attended the International Directors Programme (IDP) at INSEAD.
