A woman pointed out by police as the treasurer of the criminal structure linked to Luiz Fernando da Costa, known as Fernandinho Beira-Mar, was arrested this Tuesday (08/09) by civil police officers from the 28th police station (Praça Seca). Shirley de Figueiredo Ângelo, known as Manequim, was located on President Dutra Highway, in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense.
The trafficker Fernandinho Beira-Mar is imprisoned in a Federal Penitentiary in Catanduvas, Paraná, in a Disciplinary Differential Regime (RDD). Sentenced to more than 300 years in prison, he has been in custody for more than 20 years, since his arrest in Colombia in 2001.
The investigated individual has been targeted by police for more than two decades for her involvement with drug trafficking. After Beira-Mar's arrest in Colombia in 2001, she was identified by the Federal Police as responsible for continuing to manage the finances of the criminal group.
