The Assembly of the Republic unanimously approved a vote of condolence for the death of two young military personnel on the A1, in the Mealhada area. The military personnel died in an accident that occurred on Motorway 1, in the Coimbra district.

The Portuguese Parliament thus paid tribute to the two young people who lost their lives in service, acknowledging the sacrifice made in the exercise of their military duties.

The unanimous vote of the entire chamber reflects the cross-party recognition of all political parties towards the deceased military personnel and their families.

The vote of condolence approved by the Assembly of the Republic constitutes a symbolic gesture of institutional recognition for the loss of these two young military personnel in the line of duty.
