A Portuguese driver was caught driving at 218 km/h in Spanish territory, in the Salamanca area. The speed enforcement was carried out by the Spanish Civil Guard, which detected the extreme speeding.

The driver was immediately arrested by the Spanish authorities at the scene of the enforcement. The recorded speed far exceeds the legal limits practiced on Spanish roads.

The case has once again highlighted the need for strict enforcement on roads, especially in border areas between Portugal and Spain, where Portuguese drivers frequently travel.
