Complaints about digital services surged in the second quarter of 2026, recording a 195% increase compared to the previous year, according to ANACOM data. This trend reflects a significant increase in the number of complaints made by users of digital platforms in Portugal.
Facebook and Instagram account for more than half of all recorded complaints, standing out as the platforms most mentioned by consumers. The two social networks, belonging to Meta, thus emerge at the center of complaints from digital service users.
ANACOM, as the regulatory body, has been closely monitoring this evolution in the telecommunications and digital services sector. The organization continues to track the growth of complaints and analyze the main causes of user dissatisfaction.
