Rain will mark part of Monday, September 10th, in some regions of Portugal. The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts an increase in cloud cover and periods of precipitation on various islands.
In the Azores, the Western group will have rain during the afternoon, with skies that will start with periods of heavy cloudiness and good clear spells, later becoming overcast. The wind will blow from the southwest, between 5 and 20 km/h, shifting to south and increasing to values between 10 and 30 km/h. In the Central group, periods of rain are expected to arrive at the end of the day, with wind that will start light, between 5 and 10 km/h, shifting to blow from the south, between 10 and 20 km/h.
In Madeira, the forecast indicates periods of very cloudy skies and the possibility of light showers, with a slight drop in maximum temperature, especially in the highlands. The wind will blow from the northeast, between 10 and 30 km/h, possibly reaching 40 km/h in the Madeiran highlands from late afternoon.
In mainland Portugal, the sky will be slightly cloudy or clear, with a small rise in maximum temperature and a slight drop in minimum temperature. The wind will be light to moderate, from the northern quadrant, up to 30 km/h, and may occasionally blow strongly at high altitudes, up to 40 km/h, until early morning.
