Different manifestos and positions were released by business groups, legal scholars and civil society entities addressing the institutional crisis in the country. The documents propose measures for Brazil to go through this period complying with what is provided in the Federal Constitution.
Among the themes addressed in the manifestos are judicial reform, investigation of complaints in the Master bank case with impartiality, defense of the integrity of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and maintenance of the Tax Reform. A letter was also sent to candidates for the Presidency of the Republic.
The manifesto "For Law and for Brazil" was signed by more than 150 leaders, including economists such as Armínio Fraga, Pérsio Arida and Gustavo Franco, businesswoman Luiza Helena Trajano and TV host Luciano Huck. The document highlights that the mentions in the Banco Master case reach STF members.
In the STF sphere, Minister Fachin cancelled a plenary session after a dispute of decisions between Ministers Dino and Mendonça, evidencing internal tensions in the court.
