São Paulo's Police investigate the death of a 7-year-old child in the neighborhood of São Mateus, in the East Zone of the capital. The boy was taken to the hospital after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest, but did not survive. Family members raised the hypothesis that the boy may have tried to reproduce some content seen on the internet, but this possibility is still being investigated.
According to the police report, the child was playing at home with a 9-year-old neighbor girl. The girl left the property around 4 PM, and the child remained in the residence. Shortly after, the mother found her son unconscious with a rope around his neck in another room of the house.
The victim's mother cut the object and asked relatives for help. The child was then taken to the São Mateus emergency care facility in cardiorespiratory arrest, where death was confirmed.
The Civil Police conducted a preliminary inspection at the residence, but the full dynamics of the accident still depend on technical forensic analysis. A necropsy examination was also requested to determine the official cause of death and verify possible circumstances of the case.
