ULS Entre Douro e Vouga exceeds 201 thousand consultations in the first half of 2026

ULS Entre Douro e Vouga exceeded 201 thousand consultations during the first half of 2026, representing significant growth in the healthcare activity of the health unit.

The hospital structure that includes Hospital de São Miguel, located in Oliveira de Azeméis, was responsible for this positive performance in providing healthcare to the region's population.

During the period analyzed, 10,080 more consultations were carried out compared to the same period in 2025, demonstrating a significant increase in the institution's care capacity.

Additionally, Hospital de São Miguel also performed 1,438 more scheduled surgeries than in the first half of the previous year, showing an improvement in the surgical care provided to patients.
