A woman's corpse was found this morning in the former facilities of UNIMIL, a talcum powder factory, located near Hotel Santa Rita, on Avenida Engenheiro Duarte Pacheco, in Ermesinde. The alert was given at 11:00 and when authorities arrived at the scene, the victim was already lifeless.
The woman was approximately 62 years old and the circumstances of her death are yet to be determined. The incident is under investigation by the competent authorities.
The Judicial Police were at the location until around 4 PM, with the corpse subsequently removed to be sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine. The firefighters of Ermesinde and several PSP officers also provided support at the scene.
