The Judicial Police, through the Directorate of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, announced this Wednesday the arrest of a couple strongly indicated for committing a crime of urban arson. The arrest occurred the day before the announcement.
The fire took place in the early morning of September 6, at 1:05 AM, in a house located in Loures. The couple is suspected of having set fire to the neighbors' residence.
According to the investigation, the man and woman used gasoline and a blowtorch to apply direct flame to the facade, carpets and access doors of the neighboring house. The two fire foci resulted in property damage.
