Two young people from the province of Alberta, Canada, went viral on social media after appearing in a video taking a shower in a pickup truck bed at a car wash. The post was made by the establishment itself on Instagram in August and surpassed the 200,000 likes mark.
In the video, the two young men appear wearing only shorts inside the vehicle's bed while high-pressure water jets hit their bodies. Additionally, the young men are covered with chemicals used in car cleaning and then rinsed again by the pressurized water.
The car wash that posted the video issued a warning to customers, stating that they should not repeat the act done by the two young people, highlighting the safety risks involved in the action. The comments on reshares of the video mocked the young men's attitude, with remarks classifying the behavior as a case of "men being men" and acts considered "not very smart."
Some social media users also noticed a curious detail: neither of the two young people was shown filming the moment to post on their own social media profiles, since the recording was done by the establishment itself. The video became a sharing phenomenon on digital platforms.
