Porto Tech Hub, an association dedicated to developing the technological ecosystem of the Northern region of Portugal, will celebrate Programmer's Day on September 13th with an initiative aimed at the tech community.

The association announced it will hold a giveaway to mark this special date dedicated to programmers. The prize consists of tickets for a conference that will take place in November.

Porto Tech Hub is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and develop the technology sector in the Northern region of the country, bringing together companies and professionals in the field.

Meta launches Muse, the new personal AI agent. Shares surge almost 7%

Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, launched Muse, a personal artificial intelligence agent described as "secure, private, and widely accessible." The new agent goes beyond answering user questions, proactively executing tasks such as sending emails, booking travel, and negotiating on behalf of users, developing personalized plans and coordinating resources. Muse works through Muse Secure VM, a dedicated virtual machine that ensures security and privacy, and can continue working even after the app is closed, contacting the user when decisions are needed. The company will also launch MuseConfidentialVM this year, where all data and conversations will be encrypted with a key accessible only to the user themselves. Investor enthusiasm caused Meta shares to surge 6.96% on Wall Street, reaching $656.20. The service is available in the United States for iOS, Android, and web, with plans to expand to Meta's AI glasses, and is free for most features.
