Meta launches Muse, the new personal AI agent. Shares surge almost 7%

Eco9 September 2026 at 16:39

Meta launched Muse, a personal artificial intelligence agent described by Mark Zuckerberg's company as "secure, private, and widely accessible." Developed from scratch by the tech company, the agent is not limited to answering user questions but proactively intervenes in tasks users want to accomplish, from sending emails to booking travel, through personalized plans, resource coordination, and autonomous work.

Muse works through Muse Secure VM, a dedicated virtual machine that hosts the agent and user data. Meta also plans to launch MuseConfidentialVM this year, where the entire virtual machine will be encrypted with a key to which only the user will have access, making it impossible even for Meta itself to access the data. The agent is powered by Muse Spark, described as the company's most advanced AI model to date.

Investor enthusiasm caused Meta shares to surge almost 7% on Wall Street, rising to $656.20, the highest value since mid-July. Muse is being made available exclusively in the United States for iOS, Android, and through the muse.ai website, with plans to expand to Meta's AI glasses. The service is free for most functionalities, with subscription options for users who want more capabilities.

Why is everyone wanting to see themselves in the 80s? AI trend goes viral on social media

A new artificial intelligence trend is going viral on social media, transforming current photos into versions inspired by 80s aesthetics, with voluminous bangs, big hair, and bold makeup. Celebrities like Virginia Fonseca, Sabrina Sato, Ivete Sangalo, Graciele Lacerda, and Patricia Poeta joined the fun, which works simply: the user sends a photograph to an AI tool and chooses a visual reference from the 80s, being able to change hair, makeup, clothes, lighting, and scenery while keeping the original features recognizable.
