António Madeira puts Dão at the world top with 100 points from James Suckling

The Portuguese wine "António Madeira Os Granitos 2023" achieved the maximum score of 100 points in the evaluation of wine critic James Suckling. This distinction places the Dão region at the world top of wines.

The producer responsible is António Madeira, whose work in the Dão region has been standing out for the quality of its productions. The wine in question is a red wine from the year 2023.

James Suckling is one of the most influential and recognized wine critics worldwide, with his evaluation of 100 points being a maximum reference in the wine industry.

This is the first time a non-fortified Portuguese wine receives the maximum score of 100 points. Until now, only the so-called "vintage ports" had achieved this distinction in Portugal.
