The support of 10 cents per liter for agricultural diesel will be extended until December, according to a government decision. This measure had ended at the end of June, but the executive decided to resume it given the significant increase in fuel prices.
The government justifies this decision with the need to support farmers in the face of rising fuel prices. This resumption of the subsidy comes as a response to the difficulties faced by the Portuguese agricultural sector.
With this extension, farmers will be able to continue benefiting from direct financial support for the fuel used in their activity, helping to mitigate production costs in the primary sector.
