Juan José Ganuza took office as the new president of Spain's National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), during a formal ceremony that also marked the entry of new council members for the regulatory body.
In his inaugural speech, Ganuza issued a clear warning, stating that he cannot guarantee that the institution's decisions will always please all sectors affected by its rulings.
The new president assured that decisions will be made with independence, rigor and with the support of the institution's technical staff, emphasizing the commitment to impartiality in regulating Spanish markets.
In addition to Ganuza, the new council members who also took office were Joan Capdevila, Carmen Balsa and Marina Echebarría, thus completing the renewal of the competition authority's leadership.
