Brussels intends to create mechanisms to encourage European Union Member States to carry out joint purchases, with the aim of supporting innovation in the European bloc. This initiative aims to strengthen research and development capacity through collaboration between countries.
Among the third countries covered by this measure are the Western Balkans, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, which may participate in these cooperation initiatives in public procurement.
