The National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) reopened three of its main exhibition spaces after four years of construction work. The traditional Bernardelli Room underwent a complete renovation and now hosts an exhibition of great historical relevance.
The exhibition is titled "Brazilian Abolitionists" and brings together the work of 40 Black women visual artists. The exhibition represents a significant historical recovery in the Brazilian art scene.
The museum resumed operations with these renovated spaces, marking an important moment for the institution and for the valorization of art produced by Black women in the country.
