The World Press Photo exhibition held in Portimão received 25,000 visitors during its time in Portugal. The show has already ended and moved on to other countries.

This year's edition presents over a hundred works by 42 different photographers. The exhibited photographs seek to show the world without filters, capturing diverse realities.

The event in Portimão was one of the stops on the international tour of this photojournalism exhibition. Portugal thus hosted one of the most prestigious news photography exhibitions in the world.

Cherovia returns to the center of Covilhã

The Historic Center of Covilhã hosts the 19th edition of the Cherovia Festival from October 17 to 20, organized by the Cultural Association Desertuna, Banda da Covilhã and Covilhã Eventos, in partnership with the City Council. The event, which expects to receive 50,000 visitors, brings together gastronomy, local producers, artisans, music and entertainment, with programs dedicated to youth, the community and families. The program includes tasquinhas (small traditional food stalls), showcookings, tastings and the Cherovia Gastronomic Contest, celebrating the versatility of this traditional product from the region. On Saturday night, free buses will be available between the Sports Complex and the festival. There will be traffic restrictions on several streets in the old town during the event.
