Surfing has regained space on international runways, with brands like Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu presenting collections with boards, wide shorts, lightweight shirts and references to the beach lifestyle. Fashion seems to have found in the sea an answer to excess, prioritizing less rigidity, more comfort and a desire to live in a simpler way.
For Tayane Dalazen, this idea did not start in the wardrobe. She is a lawyer, master's degree holder in Labor Law and Process, and a surfer. Dalazen learned in practice that the simplicity proposed by the sport does not mean absence of discipline, but rather knowing what deserves to take up space.
Balancing her legal career with training requires planning. According to her, the sea does not respect schedules, commitments or agendas set in advance. The wind changes, the formation of the waves also changes, and the routine needs to follow this movement.
Dalazen states that surfing did not simplify her schedule, but it simplified her priorities. When she is in the sea, she can perceive more clearly what really matters in her life.
