The construction company Lusolav has expressed its intention to exclude the Spanish group led by Sacyr from the public tender. The Portuguese company argues that its competitor exceeds the maximum allowed value for the component of the project corresponding to normal construction work.
According to data presented by Lusolav, the value exceeded by the Spanish competitor reaches 186 million euros above the maximum limit allowed under the tender regulations.
The situation calls into question the eligibility of the group led by Sacyr for the award of the contract in question, since the tender rules establish maximum ceilings for the values of bids in the construction component.
The dispute between the two companies may have to be resolved through formal appeal channels, should Lusolav proceed with a challenge before the entities responsible for awarding the contract.
