Groups of victims of abuse in Catholic schools disillusioned with Pope's choices during visit to France

Groups of victims of abuse in Catholic schools expressed disillusionment with the choices of Pope Leo XIV during his visit to France. These organizations expressed frustration with the way the papal visit is being organized.

Pope Leo XIV has scheduled a meeting with seven victims of abuse on September 27, in Lourdes. This meeting is part of the program of the papal visit to French territory.

The victims hoped that the pontificate would bring significant changes in the way the Catholic Church handles abuse cases. However, the representative groups consider that the decisions made so far do not meet their expectations.

Lourdes, as a Marian pilgrimage site, was chosen to host this delicate meeting between the Pope and the victims. The visit occurs at a time when the Church faces ongoing pressure to address abuse scandals transparently.
