Prime Minister Luís Montenegro announced an IRS reduction that will be accommodated in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The Regional Government led by Miguel Albuquerque will integrate this fiscal measure into the autonomous regime.
Madeira currently applies the maximum fiscal differential of 30% relative to the mainland in the nine IRS brackets. This differential is the maximum allowed by the Regional Finance Law, which establishes the limits for the tax benefits of the Portuguese autonomous regions.
