Spain's Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, celebrated this Wednesday the new measures presented by the European Commission to combat the housing crisis. She argued that both the Affordable Housing Act Regulation proposal and the accompanying recommendations are aligned with the policies developed by the Spanish government in recent years.
Rodríguez stated that the European measures support Spanish housing policy, which has been a priority of the Executive during her term. The European Commission presented these initiatives as part of its efforts to address the shortage of affordable housing throughout the European Union.
The Affordable Housing Act Regulation proposal represents one of the main novelties of the European plan, accompanied by specific recommendations for Member States. The Spanish government interprets these measures as a validation of its approach to the housing problem.
