The European Commission presented today a proposal that restricts the possibility of Member States limiting local accommodation. According to the proposal, this limitation can only be applied in areas under housing pressure.
For authorities to be able to restrict local accommodation, they will have to demonstrate that this activity has been affecting the housing supply for a minimum period of three consecutive years.
