The City Council solved the problem of a sewage discharge that was contaminating a stream in Santo António. The intervention consisted of unclogging a collector that was obstructed, which allowed putting an end to the polluting discharge.
The local authority acted in order to resolve a situation that affected the environmental quality of the riverside area. The obstruction of the collector was the direct cause of the sewage discharge into the stream's waters.
With this intervention, an end was put to the contamination that affected the watercourse. The resolution of the problem now allows better environmental conditions for the surrounding area of the stream in Santo António.
