The president of the sea rescue organization Sanas, Frederico Rezende, issued a press release this morning to denounce another case of swimmer negligence. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near the São Jorge pools, where the swimmer took a risk in the North Sea.
The swimmer endangered his own life by ignoring the dangerous sea conditions. Furthermore, his actions also endangered the rescue teams who had to be activated to save him.
Frederico Rezende highlighted that this is another case of negligence, suggesting that similar situations have been occurring with some frequency. The Sanas organization once again warned about the dangers associated with swimming in adverse sea conditions and the risk that these situations represent for everyone involved.
