The investments made in the Sicó vineyards and the Fundão olive groves are threatened by frequent attacks from wild boars and roe deer. These animals have caused significant damage to crops, compromising both harvests and the renewal of plants.
The affected producers face increasing difficulties in protecting their farms from repeated attacks. The situation puts at risk the economic viability of these activities and the investment efforts made in the region.
The ADFP Foundation calls for intervention by the competent authorities to find solutions that allow for reconciling the protection of wildlife with the safeguarding of local agricultural activity.
