Fidelidade changes executive management with IPO in mind

Eco9 September 2026 at 12:28

Fidelidade approved last Tuesday the composition of its new board of directors with a mandate until 2028, at a time when the insurer is preparing to launch a public share offering. The Executive Committee undergoes significant changes with the aim of aligning governance with international practices, namely in gender diversity and member independence.

Rogério Campos Henriques remains as president and CEO of the Executive Committee, while André Cardoso and Miguel Abecassis are promoted from members to vice-presidents. Teresa Rosas, until now general director of Technology, becomes an executive committee member with responsibility for Artificial Intelligence development. Also Nuno Clemente, general commercial director, and Nuno Martins, who leaves the executive board of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, join the Executive Committee.

Juan Arsuaga leaves the Executive Committee to dedicate himself to Fidelidade Re, the group's reinsurance company, and António Noronha will have new roles in asset management and in the African region. Thomas Chen and Sijie Dong maintain their positions.

The insurer, which by the end of this month should be operating from its new headquarters, maintains preparation for the IPO, although its completion depends on shareholders' will and market timing.
