Sánchez categorically rejected any armed response to the crisis, declaring that the migrants "are not invaders". This position marks the Spanish government's line in the face of pressure from some sectors that advocated for stricter measures.
The Spanish leader defended that reflection on the situation should focus on how Spain is preparing to respond to "hybrid attacks," suggesting that irregular migration is viewed as part of a more complex strategy.
Sánchez also considered that the Spanish autonomous cities need to adapt to a permanent reality on both sides of the border, recognizing the continuous nature of the migratory phenomenon in the Ceuta region.
