Jornal Económico9 September 2026 at 12:19

CMS Portugal provided legal advisory services to Grupo Pestana on the first phase of commercialization of the Pestana Porto Covo Village I development, located on the Alentejo Coast. The operation was led by João Pinheiro da Silva, coordinating partner of the Real Estate practice area, and Sandra Teixeira Arsénio, senior associate of the same team, with support from associates Carlos Henriques Saraiva, Duarte Castro Rodrigues and Carolina Sequeira Gonzalez.

The advisory services included the legal structuring of the operation and the compliance of the project with the legal framework applicable to tourist developments, as well as coordination between the various parties involved. This work concerned the first phase of sale of 64 of the 174 tourist accommodation units.

The project, operated under the Pestana Residences brand, involved an investment of 50 million euros, representing a growing commitment by Grupo Pestana to the Alentejo region. Earlier this year, CMS Portugal had also supported the hotel group in the commercialization of the Pestana Comporta development.

João Pinheiro da Silva highlighted that the advisory services to Grupo Pestana on this development reinforces a relationship of trust built over the years, expressing satisfaction at continuing to accompany the group's real estate and tourism projects, leveraging the experience and deep knowledge of the sector.
