Throughout Tuesday's conversation, the first in more than two months, Donald Trump advocated wanting a quick end to the war in Ukraine. On the other side, he received what appears to be a not very credible view of the situation on the ground.
According to the information reported, Vladimir Putin presented Trump with a "distorted" view of the war in Ukraine, in an attempt to pressure the country into accepting terms favorable to Russia.
This was the first conversation between the two leaders in more than two months, with the central theme being the need to find a quick solution to the conflict that has been ongoing for more than two years.
Sources indicate that the version presented by Putin about the situation on the ground is not considered credible by analysts, suggesting that the Russian leader attempted to manipulate information to strengthen his negotiating position.
