The Tax Authority sent notifications to approximately 33,400 landlords with non-renewable rental contracts whose term has already ended, requesting the communication of termination until September 30.
The affected owners received emails asking them to inform the tax authority about the end of rental contracts that could no longer be renewed.
Several owners guarantee that they had already deregistered the rental on the Finance Portal years ago, having complied with the tax obligations associated with the termination of the contract.
The situation raises questions about the effectiveness of communication between the tax services and the owners' records, who consider themselves properly regularized despite the notification.
