Mozambique is implementing a natural gas project aimed at producing 5,000 annual tons of B100 biodiesel derived from coconut. The project infrastructure includes vegetable oil extraction and refining units, allowing for the complete processing of raw material into the final product.
The project also includes the creation of raw material collection centers distributed throughout Mozambican territory. These centers will be complemented by a network of local aggregators, whose function will be to collect and centralize coconut from producers.
The established production capacity of 5,000 annual tons positions this project as a significant initiative for the country's energy sector. B100 biodiesel is a fuel entirely derived from plant sources, in this case coconut oil.
