"Cancer does not only affect health": Castellón will host a key congress for patients and family members

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General9 September 2026 at 11:18

Castellón will host on September 19 the III Congress for People with Cancer and Family Members of the Valencian Community, organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The event positions the city as a meeting point to address different dimensions of oncological disease.

The congress brings together patients, family members, health professionals, researchers and oncology specialists on the same platform for discussion and sharing experiences related to cancer.

The central theme of the event highlights that cancer does not only affect the health of patients, thus emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach that goes beyond medical treatment and that includes emotional, social and family support for patients.
