The heart of D. Pedro IV is considered a relic of great significance for Portuguese history, being associated with the monarch who reigned between 1826 and 1834 and who is a central figure in the defense of constitutional rights in Portugal.

The Church of Lapa, in Porto, serves as the resting place of this organ symbolizing the king, whose heart was preserved and kept over the decades, now being presented to the public during this brief period of only three days.
