This technology allows these groups to execute malicious operations significantly faster and more efficiently than before.
According to the report identified by Google, these AI agents are used to automate cyberattacks, steal access credentials and develop malicious code. Automation drastically reduces the time needed to execute these attacks, allowing them to be carried out in just a few hours.
The report identifies operations linked to four countries: China, Russia, Iran and North Korea. These nation-states and their associated groups are exploring AI capabilities to intensify their cybercrime and espionage activities, representing a significant escalation in digital threats globally.
