The Municipal Theatre of Lousã received, on September 7, the Yellow September initiative, an awareness campaign dedicated to mental health and suicide prevention. The event was promoted by the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ) of Lousã in partnership with the Municipality of Lousã.
The meeting brought together specialists, health professionals and representatives of community projects for a day dedicated to awareness, reflection and sharing of knowledge on these themes. The initiative aims to raise awareness among the population about the importance of caring for mental health and being attentive to warning signs related to suicide.
Yellow September is an internationally recognized campaign that takes place throughout the entire month of September, alerting to the need to talk openly about mental health and to seek help when necessary. The organization of this type of event demonstrates the commitment of local authorities to promoting emotional well-being and reducing the stigma associated with these topics.
