The Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra is involved in a study on the use of artificial intelligence in people management. The project brings together researchers and representatives from 24 institutions in 10 different countries.
The objective of the study is to analyze how AI is being applied in human resources practices and what the impacts are on workers and organizations. The research seeks to understand both the benefits and the challenges of implementing these technologies.
The international collaboration between participating institutions allows for a broader perspective on the phenomenon, considering different work and cultural contexts. The project aims to contribute to an informed debate on the regulation and responsible adoption of AI in the workplace.
The results of the study may serve as a basis for recommendations aimed at companies, governments, and workers on the ethical and efficient use of artificial intelligence in people management.
